Embrace the rich and nutty delight of our Besan Ladoo recipe. These aromatic and melt-in-your-mouth sweets are a cherished treat in Indian cuisine. Made with roasted chickpea flour, ghee, and a hint of cardamom, they offer a delightful burst of flavor and tradition in every bite.

 750 ml gram flour
 5 ml egg yellow powder colouring
 375 ml water
 5 ml almond essence
 10 ml baking powder
 10 ml ghee
 5 ml ground cardomom
 250 ml toasted almonds
Syrup
 1000 ml sugar
 750 ml sugar
 Dissolve sugar and boil syrup until slightly sticky.

Sieve flour, baking powder and colouring in a bowl.
Rub in ghee. Add water and mix to a smooth batter.
Rub batter through a bhoondhi jara directly into hot oil.
Fry until crisp. Drain bhoondhis and steep in syrup.
When fully soaked, remove to a bowl. Add flavouring and almonds, mix well.
Mould into ludoos. Decorate with tinted almonds.
